Podcamp Cape Town
Saturday, June 30, 2007 at 2:36PM
Glen at theZAshow just announced that PodCamp is coming to South Africa.
Podcamp is a full day unconference, free to attend where people with a shared interest in new-media pull through and get deep on their subjects of interest.
Nice going Glen. This is yet another great initiative that will certainly enhance and develop the South African new-media scene.

So excited for our next unconference! Podcamp has rocked something serious from Boston New York & Europe ..and now Cape Town. Hell yeah!
Big respect to Glen Verran our alphageek in the podcasting arena here in SA :-D
Dave - any idea how many podcasts are currently running in SA?
Is there a podcast directory listing local South African podcasts?
Max: me too, Glen is just the right guy for this - he's knowledgeable, enthusiastic, well respected, and most of all: organised!
Eric: I'm not sure, very few I reckon - there were about 50 when I last checked in March this year... Glen will be able to tell you exactly how many there are now. I'll ping him.
I think I should point out though, that Podcamp isn't just for Podcasters - it is for new-media > think cool social media, web-video, podcasts, mobile tech.......
