If what you're doing is pioneering, visionary, or in some way is going to enhance the status quo, then you can get global attention. If your message is run-of-the-mill, however, you're likely to be ignored, and perhaps you shouldn't waste your time.

There are enough success stories to show that you don't need big marketing budgets to get big attention.
