Dave Duarte is a digital media educator and entrepreneur who has become one of the leading voices in social media for business in Africa.

He is CEO of Treeshake, a holding company with businesses in education, media, events and software. 

Working with universities around the world, Dave's home-base is UCT Graduate School of Business where he runs a leadership programme and lectures on the Executive MBA. 

Dave is enthusiastic about spreading good digital ideas around. He's the tech guy on the SAFM Lifestyle show, and a popular commentator in the South African media.

Previously he co-founded Cerebra and the 27dinners, two pioneering companies that continue to play an important role in South African media and technology. He also headed up Creative Commons South Africa.
